Envelope and Sleeve Options

Developed specifically for manuscript collections storage, the manuscript folder preserves your valuable material in a pH neutral, buffered paper or Tyvek® envelope attached to a 60 point sandstone archival board binder hinged with blue poly-cotton C grade cloth. An optional protective sleeve alleviates damage during insertion and removal and allows the document to slide smoothly into the envelope for safekeeping.

Envelopes are available in five different styles:
(A) button and string
(B) diagonal cut
(C) standard with an adhesive-free flap
(D) no flap
(E) side opening in specified sizes

A hinged envelope is available for special projects requiring that format. Choose from assorted sizes and order sleeves for additional protection.

Specifications
• Folder constructed of .060 sandstone archival board.
• Optional protective sleeve is constructed of .010 sandstone archival board.
• 8.5 pH sandstone board contains a 3% calcium carbonate reserve, is acid free and has non-detectable lignin.
• Envelope is acid-free and has non-detectable lignin.
• All adhesives are acid-neutral polyvinyl acetate.
• Spine is constructed from blue poly-cotton C grade book cloth.
• Corners are rounded to 1/4 inch radius.
• Hinge measures 1/2 inch with folder closed.
• Tyvek® envelopes are available in selected sizes.
• Hinged envelopes are available.

Protective Sleeve

The .010 sandstone archival board protective sleeve alleviates damage during insertion and removal and allows the document to slide smoothly into the envelope for safe keeping. The protective sleeve can also be ordered in packages of 10 for other applications.

Tyvek® Expansion Storage Envelopes

Tyvek® Expansion Storage Envelope

Made of inert Tyvek® with a minimal anti-static coating and no adhesive on the extra-long 4 1/2 inch flap, our Tyvek Expansion Storage Envelope provides instant storage for depository storage, paper, books or dry, powdery leather items. Expands to 2 or 2 1/2 inches depending on the envelope size. Upon request, we will make our manuscript folders to fit the expansion envelopes and send the envelopes with #465 3M Adhesive Transfer tape for appropriate positioning contingent on the thickness of your material.
